Life on board is casual. In fact, you can come to breakfast in your pj's and to dinner in the same clothes you wore in woods (just leave the mud outside) and no one will blink an eye. You can expect a warm welcome, good camaraderie, some raucous laughs, and a bundle of new friends by the time you disembark.

The focus of our un-cruises may be what's on the outside, but on board is pretty special too. The Captain and entire crew are there to make every aspect of your adventure a pleasure to remember and within days you'll feel like family. We've plotted the course, set the menu, and hired the crew. Now we're ready to welcome you aboard!

	MEALS The onboard atmosphere across our fleet is always relaxed, even in the dining room. Everyone is served at one seating and dress is always casual. There are no assigned tables or dining partners—you sit where you want and with whom you want. In fact, dining is a true pleasure served up with a cornucopia of delights. Providing a quality culinary experience ranks pretty high up the list with us so our Executive Chefs spend months planning menus and looking at each season within the individual destinations to see what’s available. Of course, we’re also happy to accommodate special dietary needs such as vegetarian, diabetic, or low cholesterol meals and food allergies with enough advanced notice. And if you're celebrating a special occasion or milestone while on board, be sure to let us know before your un-cruise. American Safari Cruises The Executive Chefs and galley staff aboard our "Safari" yachts prepare gourmet cuisine that features fresh, local ingredients that reflect the flavors of the destination. Each day begins with an early-riser breakfast of fresh fruit and baked-onboard pastries and breads. A full breakfast is served with specialty items and eggs to order. Lunches range from pasta salads and sandwiches to homemade soups and ethnic dishes. Hors d'oeuvres for the cocktail hour feature a variety of appetizers. Dinners offer a choice of entrees, including fresh seafood and meats. Complimentary fine wines are served nightly. Desserts are varied and plentiful. InnerSea Discoveries With all the energy you’re expending each day living the adventurous dream, we know that you’re also working up a good appetite. On board our "Wilderness" ships, the Chefs prepare healthy and hearty meals that feature fresh ingredients including locally caught seafood. Most meals are served buffet style to ensure flexibility with ongoing activities. Inspired soups and salads, and desserts made daily are known to be onboard favorites. And at cocktail hour, delectable appetizers will be found in the lounge. A coffee and tea station is open 24/7 and snacks such as energy bars and fresh fruit are also available throughout the day in the lounge. With all the calories you’ll be burning, we won’t let you go hungry!
	ONBOARD ACTIVITIES Throughout your voyage you become familiar with the crew and staff who enrich your time aboard. Depending on where we are and what we’re doing on any given day, there are provocative presentations on deck and in the salon or lounge that educate you on the environment, wildlife, history, and culture of the region. Local experts are often invited along as special guests to “talk story” and provide insights unavailable to most other visitors. We have an open bridge policy across the fleet so you’re always welcome to visit and discuss navigation with the Captain. Many of our vessels are equipped with underwater hydrophones as well as cameras that connect to the TVs, bringing life in the water directly inside the ship! Each vessel also has a varied collection of board games, books, and DVDs. Life onboard can be fairly social. With small groups of like-minded adventurers, who appreciate roads less traveled, there’s a certain “bonding” that tends to occur. It’s hard to describe, but it happens… during cocktail hour, over meals, and through new shared experiences.
	WELLNESS Rejuvenate your body as well as your spirit when you travel with us. And while a visit to special places like Alaska’s Inside Passage or Mexico’s Sea of Cortés is enough to pacify the spirit, we place special emphasis on making sure you have cruise Nirvana too. Thoughtful touches invite you to relax and unwind. Daily outdoor pursuits are fueled by our Executive Chefs and other experiences put you somewhere between body and being. 	OUTER DECKS & INNER SPACES Each ship and yacht has its own unique personality, but all share a universal goal and with you in mind—to relax and be comfortable. Our public spaces are designed to bring the outside in and come alive with art and artifacts from the places we travel to. Public spaces common across the fleet include an inviting dining room and main lounge or salon; observation decks ideal for close-up wildlife viewing; and hot tubs for relaxing under the stars. And depending on which vessel you’re on, you may also find a massage room; sauna, and wine bar/library. Active adventurers who have a driving desire to escape to unknown harbors without sacrificing comfort will feel right at home on our “Safari” yachts. Even loading into kayaks and skiffs is easy with our full-beam swim steps. Onboard the "Wilderness" ships, aside from the observation decks, the most popular gathering place is the main lounge, evoking the feeling of a National Park lodge or a quaint neighborhood pub. And with all the adventure activities we embark on, our kayak launch platform on the lower aft deck makes it a snap!
	STATEROOMS & CABINS Our lifestyle emphasizes both adventure and comfort. But it’s your personal comfort that comes into play inside your cabin or stateroom.
